Senator John McCain put it best, it is a lie.

The vice president spoke with a great deal of authority, with a great deal of certainty, and he was wrong.

He was wrong on the facts.

What we don't know, and maybe we'll never know for sure, is whether he knew he was wrong.

And maybe he figured that while he didn't have all the evidence, he thought it was a good guess and decided to make those claims anyway.

But in retrospect, a good guess is not a good reason to go to war.

He's got to do the right thing.
