There wasn't even the word Shinto back then because it was a part of their life.
And the spiritual beings, kami, are avatars of nature.
And the people were in it.
They didn't see.
But Buddhism, on the other hand, there's Buddhist deities.
There's a lot of sculptures.
And then also when Buddhism came in, there's a lot of new idea comes in.
Government, the early stage, early form of a constitution.
And so it's a very, very new thing.
That's how I started it.
At the very beginning, there was a friction.
There was a friction because it's a new concept.
