I'm still figuring out how I feel about that.
How do you think that that entire experience shaped the way that you now think about money, relationships, property today?
I guess if someone's listening right now and they're thinking about all their own property with somebody, what are some of the key things that they should think about either before signing or if they are in a really happy relationship and they have property with somebody, what are some of those things that they should think about, make sure they have in place?
Maybe it's even conversations that they should have...
For anyone that's listening to that, because I think we should...
absolutely go into more detail.
And I would love to actually have another conversation with you where we talk about more about succession, wills, property law, how to think about prenups differently, assets within relationships.
I think that there's a huge conversation to be had.
And obviously as a lawyer and with experience in this space, I think that there's a lot that we could learn and unpack.
So I would love to talk about that more.
But I would love to wrap this conversation up by just, I guess, asking what do you think is the biggest reason that people should think about, talk about this stuff earlier in relationships or earlier in life, given the experience you have both personally but also with your work?
I imagine there's people wanting to tune out of this because it is so bury your head in the sand and I understand why and I just I don't know I'd love to know for anyone that is thinking I don't really want to tune in for part two because I don't really want to think about this do you have any kind of like final thoughts that may change their mind on that?
It's also interesting because your experience with โ
the court system and actually trying to do something, realizing how difficult that is to implement if you don't have something watertight and in writing.
I mean, you've experienced that firsthand where you kind of can't rely on the system to do what's right by you.
You have to put it in writing first.
