It's very expensive, it's very dirty.

Well, it's both.

The first thing that happened was the environmental repercussions, right?

There was there's the enormous Molycorp Molycorp deposit in in in the US.

That was one of the one of the first major various projects in the world.

There was a lot of scandals and a lot of a lot of issues uh um several decades ago regarding the environment.

I mean we have deposits of thorium in them that can leech into the ground.

So one of that's one of the initial triggers that actually shipped a lot of that production to China.

And then we effectively gave all the technology to the Chinese, right?

And Chinese companies sort of buying up, buying off American various companies.

And they were able to take it, scale it.

And once that happened, it was the economics that took over, right?

Their cost of labor is 10 times less, their cost of power is a third.

So we really just could not compete with China if we were just copying that same technology stack again.

It was impossible.

The economics don't close.
