KD's 37 now.
It's not the same thing.
And when we talked about that as a phrase, as a framework, and it was true, it was while he was in his prime,
He was great on the Olympic teams, Team USA, great with the Warriors.
And he was, like how many guys with his credentials and usage rate and skillset could have joined?
I know it was controversial and all that shit.
Put that on the side.
How many teams of his caliber and his accomplishments
could have gone to a team that already had a Steph Curry and a Klay Thompson and a Draymond Green and bent the plug and play guy that he was.
But that was in his prime.
And he did it at the highest freaking level for three straight years.
And he won two finals and two finals MVPs and then goes down with an Achilles in the finals in 2019, a series that they might have otherwise won, right?
So I don't think that we retroactively change
that framework of how we looked at him the last few stops have been rough but i don't want to go through all the history but just real quick real quick we need to stop doing this thing where we say like oh brooklyn phoenix houston it's all worked out so badly there's like this is a whole indictment on kevin durant like you could he bears some responsibility always of course but
Brooklyn was complicated.
His first year, he was just rehabbing from an Achilles.
An entire season lost, and then COVID happened.
Second year, they get Harden, and he Harden and Kyrie...
Far from the, he's not plug and play or can't play.
They made the Eastern Conference semifinals, went to a game seven against the Milwaukee Bucks, toe on the line, shoe size, all this stuff, right?
