And the Magic were supposed to be like a top four team this season in the East, right?
They had injuries that all kinds of shit go wrong.
Chemistry was bad.
We thought Jamal Mosley was on the firing line and suddenly like he may pull off one of the great upsets of all time.
I guess we could put, you know, that particular coaching vacancy story to bed.
And then the Pistons.
the Pistons are not your average 60 win number one seed because they have never won a playoff series up until now.
Usually you've got steps between breaking into the playoffs, becoming a really good team, and then waking up one day and being the number one seed with a 60 win season.
They, they, they skipped over it all to their credit.
They made these huge leaps the last couple of years.
Um,
So they're not your average number one seed.
They don't have the requisite experience.
This is still a really young team.
And so I think all that's factoring in.
This is not excuse making on their behalf.
This is not alibi.
This is just me saying, like, let's let's remember kind of how we got here and what these two teams were.
If you went back to October, I'm betting that most prognostications had the Magic higher in the standings than the Pistons.
Because the Pistons were a six seed that people thought, well, that was cute.
