The the power that is available to him as president is is vast.
And therefore, having a camera on him is an important part of holding him to account.
And that balance, I absolutely understand why people say just shut him off.
And I have myself often thought that White House reporters personally should be more aggressive.

When the attention gets turned off, then we don't know what's happening.
Um, that is itself probably bad, definitely bad for democracy.
And that balance we have seen this week, that the networks do want to get back to covering Trump, not because uh they are slavishly in love with him, but because they believe, as journalists, that their job is to record history.
And that's certainly how I see our job.
