a danger to myself more than anyone.

So, yeah, and I had like, you know, I've talked about this before, but my parents are both past now, so I can be a bit more open about it.

So alcohol was a problem in our house.

So dad drank way too much and it was every day and it was stressful for kids.

So, yeah, so I really didn't want that to be my life and didn't want to, you know, bring that on.

to future generations.

So, yeah.

So I really did make a decision.

It was 1992.

It was November.

Me and a mate had just been arrested at the top of a Norfolk pine.

We'd been eating burgerings at the top of a Norfolk pine.

Can't do that.

No, well, you can't steal a ladder to get to the first branch.

That was a problem, one of the problems.

So I still remember coming to and there was police with loudspeakers and divvy vans down below saying, come down.

And I'm thinking, I can't remember getting up here, so it's going to take a long time.

Yeah, and maybe because we were causing a public ruckus.

I'm not quite sure why.
