And finding a solution has dominated what would otherwise be, you know, a G7 meeting about global cooperation.
Because in addition to whatever the U.S.
and Iran managed to negotiate, we have President Macron convening leaders from the Gulf region here as well.
So it's very much not a kind of G7 business as usual type of event this year.
I think it's still very fluid because everything will be overshadowed by a deal or the failure to get a deal.
And that, I think, is something he really wants to be able to bring.
So if he's got a deal, he's going to want to trumpet that.
And I can imagine that some of those bilaterals are going to be set aside.
It's going to be up to whether...
The lead U.S.
envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, can really kind of bring the sides together, knock some heads together.
They've also brought their own idea of a U.S.
free economic zone.
But that's interesting.
And that's one thing that both the Russians and the Ukrainians agree on.
They're both rather cool on the idea of a kind of neutral, free economic zone.
So there's really going to be a full day, perhaps two days of discussions here in Geneva.
But no one is too optimistic that a lot of headway is going to get made.
