We do understand that Vance's involvement in this delegation

has a lot to do with Iranians seeking somebody within the US system who is not a very vocal proponent of this war, right?

Because one may ask, why isn't Secretary Rubio going?

Or Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner had led the previous nuclear talks, which ended up failing.

And in the end, it led to this war.

We do know that there is a bit of a disappointment among the Iranian leaders with those two negotiators.

And they're also seeking for somebody with a little bit more political clout, close to the president, somebody who carries that elected political weight.

However, he came out with a post on X and said that there was an approach made by the United States, but that the conversations had not materialized.

So we're actually left in this confused situation at the moment where the president of the United States is saying there are talks with Iran, but at the same time, we're getting a denial from the Iran side.
