You can make the case that that international team, that Spain team, is the best international side of all time.
They were utterly dominant.
They kind of redesigned how we thought about football.
Those principles have remained the same and I think what you see now is that

A lot of them play outside Spain.
Luis De La Fuente, as you say, is not a big-name coach.
He is of the system.
But everyone feels at home in the basic idea of play.
When they come back to the national team, they all know exactly what they're meant to be doing.
And that gives them a massive head start against international sides that are, by definition, a kind of amalgam of different ideas and thoughts and players and influences.
Spain feel really coherent.
And I think what this victory has been is a victory for that cohesion.
That's their superpower.
It's not always been thrilling to watch.
It's not always been exciting or even like objectively beautiful.
A lot of it is boring.
