It's hard to gauge the depth, obviously, but the ball was bouncing and you thought he's got a right to go for that.

You can make a case that he maybe isn't upset that he catches Kubasi on the shin.
The way that Kubasi sort of vaults made it look an awful lot worse than I think it was.
What's really stupid, his first yellow card was for descent, which is such a waste.

On watching the replay, I'm still not sold.
But this is the thing with VAR.
I think a lot of the conspiracy around Argentina can actually be explained by fairly humdrum, like run-of-the-mill VAR pernicketyness.
I think that's basically what the problem is.
There might have been a minor foul in there, but there was nothing really glaring to me.
They seem to sing more as the kind of prospect of them winning got more and more distant.
When in those urgent moments, those emergency moments, the noise from that end really grew and you saw the shirts waving and the sun start to boom out.
