That's the key to then Prendergast having more time to make better decisions and move the ball to space.
If you're not winning that physical duel up front, as a 10, you can get a bit antsy and you know that the space should be there in the wider channels, but you haven't earned the right to go there.
And I thought that Ireland were moving the ball to where they knew the space should be, but they hadn't earned the right and it wasn't there yet.
And then the Australians got up and defended us really well.
And even that intercept, Joe, like the one that Jorgensen gets, that is a really good defensive intercept because it's not like this guy is just going for a pot look.
I'm just going to go for an intercept here and hopefully I get lucky that the attacking player doesn't see me.
The Australians are in control in that defensive set.
He's coming from the outside in.
He's also defending.
He's got, I think it's Ringrose, or sorry, it's Keenan.
He's got defended in front of him.
If it does go to him, he'll be able to make that tackle.
He then sees the ball in flight, slips off to the inside of Keenan into the passing channel and picks the ball off.
There's no element of luck there.
And Prendergast should have held on to that one.
But tied in with that, Prendergast wants to get the ball out of his hands.
He doesn't necessarily want to go to his carry game.
So if he can put him under pressure and force him to carry it, that's what Joe would have wanted because he'll back the back row to either steal the ball on the ground or hold him up into a maul.
And I thought they did that really well, in particular in that kind of first half.
They really took his time away, which affected Ireland's kind of cohesive attack.
