PN John there was a game last night Liverpool rounded off their pre-season tour it was absolutely one of them where you are able to frame it as a game of two halves two very different performances I think the first 45 was a lot of what you'd want to see loads of energy they were front foot it was aggressive and they looked pretty good Nick I would say on a pretty poor pitch
I thought it was great, Andy.
Our first 45 looked really good.
In the context of it's a pre-season game, so you're never going to get perfection.
But in terms of what I wanted to see, I saw a lot of it in that opening 45.
Now the second half we'll come on to a bit later.
It was a totally different game of football.
But I think what I liked...
was the intensity seemed to be there.
And I think you've got a bit of a sense of that through some of the training sessions.
