Agree, but that depends on the role and that whole argument of do we have another layer of government or do we just have a head of state, the equivalent to the monarch, which is my preference.

If we're going to have a president, and we only call it a president because that's the obvious thing to call it, if we're going to have a president, then we don't want them to be an extra layer of government.

I also don't think they should be elected.

Well, but an independent panel whose role it is, that's not about- Yes, you might have representatives of government and the opposition and an independent and whatever, but you'd also have business people and so on.
