Because obviously, I think if Luis Enrique became available, everybody would say he must have... If Carrick stays on the United and gets a contract, I won't fall off my chair when I read the news.

No, but would you... Now, if you're in that position, from what you see from the outside... Depends on what the other options are.

But if all of them are... If they're hitting stumbling blocks with them, whether it be buying them out of contract or the contracts they might want, all these top managers will want your 10, 15 million a year.

They might say to Carrick, I'm not saying you're the cheaper option, but in terms of the package...

People know you at the club.

I can see where they're coming from, absolutely.

But I'm not going to sit there and think Carrick is going to get Man Utd competing in the top of the next two or three years.
