And we was like, damn, they think we...

you know, grew up, you know, in this crazy war zone.

But we had a little more fun growing up.

You know, I'm looking around and my guys, didn't we have fun?

You know, play football on the street.

You know, play stickball, basketball, you know, just tag and, you know, water balloon fights and all kind of stuff.

So I'm like, man, we need to do a movie that really has more of the tone on how we grew up.

And that's how...

Friday came about, we wanted to be the anti-depressing L.A., you know, hood movie, so to speak.

Right, just shootouts every five seconds and darkness and bleakness.

I mean, yeah, that's movies, you know.

There's unpredictability in the hood, which you don't know what day it's going to be.

a good day or it's going to be a day where, you know, something happened.

You just never know, you know, walking out in the street.

So that's what made it, um, you know, kind of volatile, unpredictable.

You know, I don't think so.

But I actually became a pretty good script writer.

And so maybe that's why I was in typewriting class.

Because I never knew I was going to use typewritings.
