So as you said for Bitcoin, effectively if you're looking at some state, for example, you just received a bunch of Bitcoin, the cost of this is actually not true is effectively
Will be at
kind of how much it costs to produce, you know, that number of blocks.
Uh and indeed it, you know, for example, for an hour to lie to you about an hour of history, it costs two million dollars.
Right?
So that's kind of the idea.
Like now with proof of stake it's a little bit different because uh what in Bitcoin it's possible that, you know, for example, Google has a lot of servers.
They could be effectively line creating
A fake blockchain, you know, that's you know, days and weeks long, and they can present that and effectively lie to people and steal a bunch of money.
Now
Don't think Google's doing this, but like just just to give you an example.
With proof stake and specifically this idea of uh Byzantine fault tolerant consensus, you actually have this notion of finality where if indeed a two-thirds of the stake is not uh kind of um
non-malicious, then um they following the protocol and so there's no there's no actual way to have a fake history or like to lie to you.
And and you can kind of uh verify this from the beginning, right?
So like we launched block kind of the main net um October 2020.
And so since then you can verify that like you know every single transition
was correct and all the rules were followed.
Uh so that's kind of the idea.
