As you all know, we can do hard things.
And those are the things that are really satisfying that make your life.
It's not the easy things.
I have to tell you, I don't know where it comes from.
When I started writing a cookbook, having never written one, and I always think if I had gone to the bookstore and seen how many cookbooks there are, I would have thought you're out of your mind.
Mm-hmm.
But I just wanted to write the cookbook that I wanted to write.
Maybe it's from my childhood.
Maybe I was always this way, you know, nature versus nurture.
Who knows?
I just hate somebody telling me what to do.
I absolutely hate it.
And so when I started the process, I thought I'm going to write a cookbook, but I'm going to write the cookbook I want to write.
And I don't want anybody telling me how to do it.
And so I did it on my own terms.
And when somebody tried to tell me something, it's not that I would say, no, I'm not doing it.
I would, like my editor, wanted the design to look like a certain thing.
