She lived in the shadow of her extraordinary older sister.

But she never wanted to be in the limelight.

So it was only once I started the research did I realize, actually, this life, even though it may have been in the shadows, was equally as brilliant as all the rest.

And my mother was travelling with my father as a sort of dutiful wife.

And a lot with my grandfather because he needed to have a hostess or a companion with him.

But really, by the time I came along, my mother was much more at home.

And we share the same sense of humour.

We share the same love of Charbonnel Walker chocolates.

We share the same love for ridiculous dachshunds.

So we get on very, very well.

So I think I was very lucky in not only her being at home, but also us just getting on well as people.

So we're very close.
