One of the things my grandfather insisted for both of his daughters was that they kept diaries.
But my mother religiously wrote a diary.
So I did a book on her last year called Lady Pamela.
It actually began because Penguin Random House came to us and said we would love to do a book on your mother on her years at the Queen.
The Queen had just died.
And of course my mother went on two Commonwealth tours with the Queen.
The fascinating part of this story is that my mother was actually with the Queen the moment she became Queen.
