Every four years, the United Nations Environment Program issues its Global Environment Outlook.

Executive Director Inger Andersen says addressing human-caused climate change, biodiversity loss, land degradation, pollution, and waste would improve human lives.

Anderson says that while upfront costs for this level of change would be significant, there would be even greater worldwide economic benefits in coming decades.
