And deep fakes I imagine as well are becoming really sophisticated.

I remember a couple of years ago doing a T V report where they created a deep fake of me and it was good but it wasn't quite right and they weren't able to use my voice.

That was just a couple of years ago.

I'm absolutely certain now they would be able to replicate me quite effectively and use that for nefarious purposes.

And that's very scary.

And another thing, presumably, that AI can help the fraudsters with is correcting their language.

Very much so much.

Making it sound official, making it sound credible and plausible, because that used to be a really good spot in terms of looking out for fraud, spelling mistakes, things that aren't quite grammatically correct, and all of that is now changing so that it can be very, very deceptive.
