Here's a big limitation of these studies.
You had to have a DSM-5 level of depression or anxiety to get into the newer studies.
A number of those people were terminally ill and were having that level of anxiety or depression in relation to their terminal illness.
I would also say if you go
Go back and read the Spring Grove studies from the seventies, Stanislaus Groff studies or Eric Kass studies from Chicago.
In those, although they were tracking depression, the they a lot of those people were simply terminally ill and what their level of mood disorder was related to the terminal illness.
And again, the experiences were quite substantial.
