Israel's cabinet secretary, Yossi Fuchs, told a meeting of far-right groups that Hamas has two months to disarm.

He said if Hamas does not lay down all its weapons, then the Israeli military will resume large-scale military operations in Gaza.

This week, Israel's prime minister said this includes Hamas giving up its small arms, including assault rifles.

This, even as Israel arms Palestinian militias fighting Hamas in Gaza.

Hamas leaders say the group is open to decommissioning heavy weapons like rockets as part of Trump's ceasefire agreement, but say there must be a negotiations track toward a Palestinian state and a long-term ceasefire.

Hadar Goldin was killed during an Israeli military operation in Gaza in 2014.

His family waged a long public campaign to bring home his body.

On Tuesday, it was finally buried in central Israel.

His twin brother, Tzur Goldin, said in his eulogy that Hamas hostage-taking is designed to, quote, break Israel's society.

The bodies of four hostages remain in Gaza, three Israelis and one Thai national.

On Monday, President Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, met in Israel with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the next phase of the ceasefire.
