heavier uh systems, then this becomes uh relevant.
So Roger and I wrote a a paper where we were exploring the possibilities of uh doing an experiment with a Bose Einstein condensate.
And in that paper we gave numbers.
So uh usually
This atom interferometry ex experiment, that's a good reference that we were talking about for uh Ron.
The the experiment takes um uh
micro s milliseconds.
That's how long he can hold this superposition.
Um uh you would need uh let's say if you if Ron could keep uh a superposition for a second or two, which is still really far away from what experiments are, but it's not impossible.
Um um but in order to see the effects of self-gravity, you would need something like uh ten to the nine
Uh atoms.
in a superposition.
So a mass, like uh for example, could be a lump or like a a um Silicia bead.
with the equivalence of like um let's say very roughly speaking, with ten to the nine atoms in it.
Uh and that's very different to the one atom that uh Ron um uh had and his impressive I mean his e experiment is im impressive but tests something different.
Now there has been um progress in in testing the superposition with massive systems and like
I mentioned before.
The record is currently by Markus Arndt at the University of Vienna, where he puts these uh molecules that have like two thousand atoms.
um each well, but that's the the molecule in superposition with itself.
But that's the comparison with I I think now he managed to do this with an order of magnitude more, but I don't know um I heard.
