Yeah, because tradition doesn't matter anymore.

And no tradition, you know, maybe at least no tradition south of Notre Dame is is as rich and um celebrated as as Alabama's.

But if you take that out of the equation and it strictly becomes who's gonna pay the most money.

And those are gonna be the most successful programs, then Alabama's in trouble.

I thought I thought it was really insightful from Paul and and and very candid, right?

And it's funny because when I was talking rivalries, I remember Nebraska, Oklahoma, when that was one of the great rivalries.

You would have that would have been in the top five.

That's right.

And they had no qualms with dropping it because tradition does not matter anymore.

And so that's the worst thing you could hear from Alabama.

Not not not just that money is increasingly a part of the college football landscape, but that the com continued diminishment of tradition because you're taking away one of the anchors for Alabama football.

also appreciated the fact that

you know, the insight that he could give from knowing George Wallace's son or living near Bear Bryant's grandson.

Right.

You just don't get that kind of perspective.
