The Knicks have found right now the perfect balance between high-end talent and then the depth and Mike Brown getting contributions from these guys that come in here, and they're just clicking.
I don't know what the hell happened in that locker room after that Game 3 loss to Atlanta,
But dating back to the Game 4 win over the Hawks in the first round, they've won their last seven games by an average of 26.4 points.
They've had a true shooting percentage of 66.2% over this break.
In the two closeout games against the Hawks and 76ers, they won by a combined 81 points.
We're always told that's the toughest game to win.
The one where you put a team to bed for their season.
That's the toughest.
That's been the easiest for the Knicks as they play just elite basketball.
Knicks fans that have been Knicks fans for like 40 years are like, this is the best the Knicks have ever looked.
And they're not wrong.
They could easily be 8-0 in the playoffs.
Right, yes, with the two losses.
If CJ McCollum misses two shots, they're 8-0.
Sure, sure.
So, yeah, they are going to be heavy favorites, as they should be, I think, against, obviously, the Pistons, who played them well in the regular season, and the Cavaliers, who have not impressed by any imagination here so far.
And there was injuries piling up for the Knicks last year, which we sort of do forget about.
That's not to discredit what the Pacers did in that incredible run.
But there was a lot of guys banged up, getting injured, starting to come out of the lineup as that went on.
The playoffs are like, it's a war of attrition at some point.
