This isn't someone who's spent his career in public service.

You know, he wasn't doing this.

And I think why this kind of like feels weird and maybe feels different is is because he wasn't operating at a level of power when he was doing this, that that wasn't what was contributing to it.

And, yeah, he said some things that were certainly regrettable and he regrets them and has said that.

But I just think this particular this particular latest round of like, ooh, pearl clutching is between him and his wife.

And if the people in Maine and the voters in Maine don't care and they don't seem to because he continues to crush in the polls, then it just seems like a distraction.

I just think what is worse is what Susan Collins does every day.

And I don't want to be like a Trump.

Trump supporting Fifth Avenue like you know I could shoot someone voter but I just I don't think that's the case like this is a this is a person and you know do we want do we want and maybe it's not a binary choice but do we really want the kid who's like.

And Model UN, when they were six years old, it was like, I want to be the president.

All they're ever focused on is this idea of a West wingified politics.

And it's kind of separate from reality.

Do we want real people?

People with flaws, but flaws that don't stand in the way.

of them doing the job which is serving us and i think again not maybe this isn't just the social media era but you know we've really kind of become friends with a lot of our political figures and i try to stop myself from doing that sometimes like i love zaran mandani i do i'm like this i'm like this guy it's like it would be like if he was my favorite celebrity and he's not he's the mayor of new york city and i should want him to do mayor of new york city things and part of the reason that i love him so much is because

He's a great mayor of New York City.

But I think sometimes our politicians become our superheroes and our celebrities and our favorite figures when in reality, like what we should be asking from them is, will you deliver on the things that I want?

And will the part of parts of you that are flawed?

keep you from doing that.

And I don't think that they will.
