We've other roads projects which we're looking at getting going as well.
So there's tangible momentum across infrastructure delivery where Greater Dublin Drainage Project, because of the reforms that we've introduced,
It's due for completion now 12 months ahead of schedule compared to what it was last year.
The Waterford Wastewater Treatment Plant, six months ahead of schedule compared to what it was one year ago.
And what I'm seeking to do is be pragmatic about the issues and the barriers which are restricting delivery.
This will help public transport projects, it'll help the road projects, it'll help the foundations of infrastructure.
Well, we're taking significant action across multiple areas.
So when you take... It's not all solely about whether... If a particular road is built in the next five years, that isn't going to be the single differentiator between us meeting our climate obligations.
Probably one of the single biggest...
mitigators of our overall emissions profile will be our ability to get renewable projects delivered quicker in terms of offshore renewable energy.
And the work that we're doing, I think, on infrastructure delivery and building out our grid quicker will help enable some of the offshore renewable projects to come onshore and so that we see the opportunities that will come from that, for example, in reducing overall emissions.
And some of the public transport projects will help as well.
So Dara O'Brien has expanded the grants for windows and doors, for example.
So we've broadened the criteria in which people can get retrofitting grants.
It's not solely for a deep retrofit.
There's been, I suppose, a more pragmatic approach taken to that.
But we have to be balanced around the level of grants we can provide for.
The overall price of solar panels has reduced in recent years and there are grants obviously attached to people getting...
solar panels presently, but we have to protect some of the investment that's going into retrofitting.
It is an overall balancing act and the, you know, Dara O'Brien has put a lot of work with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland into ensuring we better deliver across the capital that we've set aside for this.
