So to give you kind of listeners a few sort of stats here, if we look at our total match duration,
Back in 22, we were 94 minutes.
We're now 89 minutes.
And then the mix of that, so our total match has shrunk by five minutes, but then the mix within it, we've cut a hell of a lot of static time, circa 10 minutes, and increased a hell of a lot of ball in play time.
Um, and I, I don't think anyone misses that static time.
As you say, we've still got about, uh, 12 scrums a game.
We've still got about 21 penalties a game.
We've still got the same amount of line outs, but we've just got rid of all that niggly downtime that no one really liked.
And when we did our fan research, they said, let's do away with that.
And I think, uh,
that's the sort of high level metrics about, you know, where, what time is and where time has gone.
But I think the interesting stuff is, well, what has that been done?
You know, there's less, that's 10 minutes less rest for the players that that's meant that the whole game is sped up and opportunities have become more.
We're seeing that through our points and the number of tries increasing and things like that.
We want contest.
We want great contest.
Cause that's what rugby is.
And that's what sets rugby apart from our competition.
Um, what we, we just want more of it.
