In addition to everything else he's done, very similar to Mike Babcock, he's enjoyed success at various different levels of the game, obviously not quite on Babcock's level, but you know, he's he's one of Memorial Cup.

I mean, he he's he's used to being in big games.

He's certainly seen Edmonton in big games.

So I I think you know, as much ado has been made and understand.

Understandably so, considering, you know, the way Mike Babcock's career in Toronto ended and the way it never really got off the ground in Columbus.

I understand the noise around the hiring.

But you still are bringing in a veteran coach

with a wide variety of experience, who knows the Oiler's personnel, who knows one of the core Oilers very well, uh, and who is not afraid to coach in a market that absolutely demands the absolute best.

I mean, his last two stops were original sixteens.

And prior to that he took a team that no one thought could get to five hundred, let alone a Stanley Cup final within one game of the Stanley Cup.

So I know those are, you know, years gone by and I understand the skepticism there.

But I don't think

you know, I don't think there's a huge transition coming simply because the Oilers have an oil older, experienced team.

I think the growing pains might be there if this was a team

If if Mike Babcock had been hired when Dave Tibbett was hired, Bob, I think there would have been some growing pain.

But he comes into a team that's seen every kind of coach and every kind of situation and all kinds of noise around them the last, you know, five years.

Edmonton has talked has been talked about as a potential winner.

They're not gonna be, you know, cowed by a guy that might bring a different style than to which they're accustomed, let's say, the last

Four or five years.
