I listen to a lot of NBA podcasts, but yours is the only team podcast that I regularly tune into, and I'm not a Raptors fan, so I'm just going full glaze to start.
Wow.
The more I talk about the NBA this season, the more confused I get.
Like, I had Harrison Fagan on yesterday, and we spoke about the Lakers for an hour, and it was like, I don't really know what's going on there.
I don't really know what's going on with Boston, and I'm going to try and make sense of what's going on in Toronto with you today.

In a way, without the mercurial driving talent, sort of similar to the Lakers.
So it's sort of a reload of yesterday's conversation because you look at the record, you look at the seeding in the East, and then you go to sort of some of the advanced stuff and you look at the net racing and the two things don't quite align.

what what one like quite nice place to start is it does feel like the NBA is telling us more than ever that there are 1 million ways to skin the proverbial cat and like that's what the Raptors are proving this year if you look at all of the stuff that was said pre-season all of the stuff that was really said around the time of the Ingram trade it's like why are they doing this they're giving up this uh
know protected first round pick for a guy that's won most improved before for a guy that has like been an all-star before what why are they doing that why are they adding that to the team and just sort of going away from where the hell is this team going where is the ceiling of this team to suddenly like actually succeeding in the 25 26 season it has been
I wouldn't say a pleasant surprise because as we were talking pre-pod, I was cautiously optimistic about this Raptors team, but I don't know if it's happened quite in the way that I thought it would.
It's nice because when we messaged prior to this, you sort of said that you wanted to talk about Ingram, the scorer versus the passer.
So I went and I've watched a few games and like quite a lot of highlights today.
My first note was usage is fundamentally different to New Orleans usage.
3-5 pick and roll is on the decline in a big way.
