The coroner arrived, and when the preliminary investigation was completed, the body was taken downtown to the county morgue.

All clothing and personal effects were removed from the body and sent to the crime lab for detailed examination.

Rose Baker's sister, Bernice Marin, was brought to the county morgue and identified the body.

A few minutes after 10 o'clock that night, Ed and I got back to the office.
