the things that they don't tell you about becoming successful is that, you know how people oftentimes say like, oh, you've changed.
I don't find that insulting anymore because I've actually realized in my personal experience that when you build something great, it's actually the people around you that change.
They don't want to admit it though.
The way that they perceive you completely changes.

Like personal Jackie is locked away and tucked and harbored and sheltered.
That's for like my man, my family, my loved ones.
But sometimes girl, even family, like things change, like people change.
You have to keep your personhood intact for yourself.
But I've learned that like the stuff that I experience is not personal.
And the less I take things personal, the better I am at like mentally and emotionally handling this job.
And I'm proud of that because I didn't think I could do it, girl.
I really didn't think I could do it.
I come from actually like a really good advantage because when I started my channel, my first ever social media was YouTube.
Well, when I started doing this as a career, it was YouTube.
But I was teaching people how to do makeup and I was only talking about makeup.
