Uh, when I was there last time, we were actually at a restaurant and the, uh, while speaking to the, the waitress and she was saying that, um, oh, they, there, there'd been a show being shot in town sometime recently, uh,
And Florence Pugh was, was in this show for Netflix and they were using 10 teams because it has this old colonial look and they didn't know, like they didn't recognize her though.
And she'd come in and asked, Oh, Hey, have you got any tables for dinner?
And they're like, nah, we're full.
You go down the road, there's Chinese or something.
she goes down there comes back like 10 minutes later and she's like oh are you sure you don't have anything they're like no we've got nothing you know maybe come back tomorrow and they realize but I mean at the time then it would have been you know it kind of almost favors a tourist destination in terms of the frequency people are in and out and kind of that disproportionate
you know locals to non-local you know population there so which is i mean it's it's that that makes it really ripe for situations like this where things things happen and you really don't have anything to chase down because people are in the wind so quickly you know and especially with that that many places you know and it doesn't sound like it's actually a huge area
I mean, again, if we didn't have enough layers on this case to kind of bury what you're trying to dig up, there's just another one to add on to it in that regard.
Now, it did sound like he was really accommodating the in-owner, and he gave you a lot of information, it seems like.
Yeah, yeah, he was a nice guy.
And, yeah, I mean, he has his own info on the case.
And what was interesting, though, as part of the story, David Tamahiti says that he picked the car up, he stole the car from Tarare Creek Road, then drove back to the Sunkist.
And this has been another really contentious part of this case, right?
If you've just stolen someone's car,
Does it make sense that you would just drive 10 minutes into town, park it at this place, and then just go on about your business?
Because aren't they going to come straight into town and say, hey, our car's been stolen?
It might take them a couple of hours to walk back, but surely in the next little while, someone's going to be looking for that car.
The police's argument is, well, he knew he could do that because he'd murdered them.
And so he knew they were never coming back to the car.
And I found it interesting when we were at the Lady Bowen, the Sunkiss, we're looking across and I'm talking to the owner and I said, I was like, oh, where was the police station?
