You know, Neville is kind of like a forgetful, wispy sounding dude.
Professor Trelawney has a very forlorn voice, I guess.
I love the performance of her too.
yeah the performances are so central to this type of thing and they put a lot of care into it but on the topic of imitation the another character that was not even remotely attempted to do an imitation was snape and the guy who played him um who was it it was riz ahmed
He played Snape and his performance is completely different than Alan Rickman's.
And good luck getting a performance as good as Alan Rickman, like the most iconic performance from the movies.
You're not going to do it justice.
Whoever was given a task to play Snape in these new audiobook editions was cursed to get criticized for it.
I do not want that job.
It's impossible.
And it does come off a little weird.
I wish it was Alan Rickman.
Alan Rickman was unhinged, but held back and reserved and had some poise behind it.
Riz Ahmed's Snape feels just completely out there and unhinged.
And like, he's looking in hysterics like half the time.
It's really off-putting.
And it's one of those performances that stands out for being kind of poor.
But again, I don't blame him.
You're filling in big shoes.
Nobody's got big feet that big.
