And I would not put my neck on the line to get them out of debt because there's not a true, true commitment there.
And there's certainly no legality there to protect either of you.
And so I would keep this.

If you're going to choose to live together, that's your choice.
I might say something different and I would say something different.
I'd ask, well, why don't you just get married?
But if you're not going to get married at the very least, keep your money separate because he's getting himself into this mess and he has a habit of spending more than he makes.
He spends all that he gets and then some.
