And it'll be harder not to get distracted next week.
I think if he wins, it'll be his greatest win, not just because he achieved the Grand Slam, but because of everything
that has been laid upon him as far as the burden of sort of carrying the game right now and not being at his best by a little bit of a margin anyway this year.
And to recover it right in time for this moment would be really, I think, really an exceptional moment for him.
Well, what's cool is I think the greatest golf courses allow the greatest players to separate by the largest margin.
And, you know, because they test something that most players don't quite have, but the greatest do have.
And the advantage becomes more pronounced.
And then suddenly you see these, you know, these runaways with Tiger at Pebble to some extent.
I remember
when Jack in 72 at Pebble was really windy and he separated.
And, you know, Jack wasn't always known as a great wind player early in his career, but he became one.
But as far, you know, all these things we're talking about with Scotty, I think you make some great points about his early career not really being one in which he was engulfed by media and not, you know, kind of growing up with it.
Now, there's a flip side to that, which is you become, I think,
You know, Rory is an amiable person.
I think he enjoyed most media growing up.
It was mostly favorable.
He was kind of the, you know, kind of a fair haired, very likable kid.
For Tiger, it was a burden right from the start, and he got it before anybody got it.
So he knew how to handle it, but he handled it in a way that was, I would say, almost cynical.
It's like, man, just avoid anything that's going to be blown up into anything else.
