He had just started consulting and, um,

And I didn't you know, he was kind of the S&P 500 type guy.
He just worked his job and would put it there.
And that's what he told me to do my whole life, which, you know, it keeps up with inflation, but you really don't make any money in indexes.
Anyway, so he's pulled his money out and he calls me in.
And like I said, he didn't talk to me about money a whole lot, but I don't even know why he wanted my opinion for this.
But I remember it vividly.
He says, you know, American Airlines, this is like three days before they get bailed out by the government.
They look like they're going to go bankrupt here in the US.
And their stock had plummeted.
They're down to like 20 or 30 cents per share.
And he says, I think they're going to get bailed out.
I want to take all the money that I still have on the sideline and put it in the stock.
But if they go bankrupt, like we lose everything.
And I'm like...
This is heavy for a 16 year old.
You know what I mean?
And I was like, well, what if you just did like ten thousand dollars?
I'm 16.
