I go through... We've talked about this before about alcohol and weed and the different love story of it.
I'm 48 now, and I'm finally admitting to myself that I love acting, but it's been a weird relationship.
How so?
So the world I grew up in, the actors I saw and I loved were the Bill Murrays or Farley.
And you watch Bill Murray and it looks like he's not doing anything.
And you go, and he's fucking cool about it.
He's not sweaty.
He's just fucking chill.
He doesn't give a shit.
And you go, well, I like that.
And then secretly I would start finding some indies and I'd be like, I like that too.
Then you'd see another thing.
I'd be like, that's a pretty cool performance.
But the idea of being like an actor, actor, and also being like, I'm a triple threat.
I do musicals and dance.
I was like, that ain't cool.
That's not what I want to do.
Yeah.
and so for me acting was always potentially a bunch of people in sweat outfits in a class doing weird stretches and i was like it's not that and then i thought maybe it's more like stand up and then i entered that word i was like but that's not what i love then i had a two-person show and we traveled and deep down i don't like performing for the audience i i know it's very different but the feeling i get of my job is to come here in this club and perform for you for 45 minutes
well you're here and i'm here man shouldn't it be more equal and i don't like that it's my job to entertain you and if you're being an and my brain obsesses on you i don't like that dynamic on a thursday night can i tell you that i think this is how up i am yeah i think when i get to go do stand up they're throwing me a party
