It's weird that he feels post-hype sleeperish, but I think that's because of the perception of what happened his rookie season is that there weren't that many people that were super high on him.
And I'm not saying this as like, ha ha, look at me.
I wasn't one of the highest.
I was pretty high.
I was higher than most, but I wasn't to be clear.
Like I wasn't even expecting it to be that good of a rookie season.
I thought it was going to be more year two and beyond.
But what actually ended up happening was he had a really good rookie season and then big disappointment last year.
And a lot of people are now off of him and they're just like, eh, whatever.
But, you know, if you look at this team and if you look at the fact that we're all talking about Mike McDaniel and what he can do for Marion Hampton, it kind of goes similar to an argument I brought up earlier in this show about if we're going to argue for this team and what McDaniel can do for this offense, all the excitement for Herbert with a healthy offensive line and all the, by the way, Herbert's supposed to be this one right here for by the kick, not the icing.
But I am going to make a point for at least one piece of the icing because I know the constant of the one on this team.
The others are the question mark, whether Quentin Johnson can build off what happened last year, whether rookies are going to make an impact, whether it's going to be Gadsden seeing more from the tight end position, whatever it might be.
What do we know?
We know McConkie is the one.
And if you look back at McDaniel with the Dolphins and
Average out the number one because sometimes it was Hill, sometimes it was Wild because they were hurt at different times.
But on average, the number one target in his offense is somewhere between 30% and 31% of the target share.
