It's really good, that song.
Did you work with him on this new album?
I didn't work with him on this new album, but I certainly will again on something.
Who did you work with on this album?
Sachs basically posted this video a while back that was very honest and kind of vulnerable.
It was about his tour and having to...
um not do it because of some factors and basically i was like wow he was so candid and it like really spoke to me and i reached out and said hey do you want to come out and be the special guest at our show
in Toronto, where he's from, and he said yes, and he came out and absolutely killed it, and then basically, I was like, look, I'm doing a writing camp in a couple weeks, love for you to join, and so he was really, I think, the anchor to the project, helping me kind of bring it all to life and say what I wanted to say, and then there was a bunch of other collaborators, Paris Carney, who's a very good friend of mine, also a huge part of the songwriting aspects of this, and Brian Daly, Blush, Josette,
Jeff Giddey, Dwayne Whitmore.
It was an amazing group of people who really gave me the freedom to speak honestly.
And I think because it was friends, I was able to just kind of relax and take the guard down a little bit and just be real and just...
sometimes you approach like writing a song and you're thinking about all the ways in which it'll be commercial or it'll find its audience uh if it'll trend on tiktok i mean all these things are a part of the creative process whether you like it or not but i really wanted to just strip all that away and say what feels right here and what am i what am i actually trying to say um now look i hope one of them becomes a hit that would be great but
it's kind of more important at this stage for me to just say the most real thing.
Can you explain to me the beginning?
You're talking about your hair falling out and then it not falling out.
