A couple of different reasons.
The Cardinals were going all youth.
They got rid of a lot of their veteran players.
The White Sox have been in a rebuild for 50 years, it seems like.
Just a long time, but we started the year.
rumblings of colson montgomery got a little bit of him last year they go out and sign murakami they make the trade get miguel vargas over like okay like there's fun players to watch on this team we like it with the cardinals they had some pieces there already uh but we're seeing some of the young guys uh start to do it uh mason win uh jj weatherholt we saw jordan walker have
spurts, but he's been doing it at a different level this year.
What I wanted to highlight is when you have teams like this where you don't have tried and true hitters, there's still the game of baseball to be played.
And I would say right now, both fan bases are definitely pleased and happy with how things are going.
If you're a Cardinals fan, no doubt about it.
Six games over 500 right now.
Defense is looking good.

White Sox, 16-18.
You're two games under five at this point.
You're ecstatic if you told a White Sox fan that before the season started.
They'd be like, yes, we'll sign up for that.

I call it the duality of man award because, as we've seen in baseball right now, bunts are up a little bit.
