I would go and see my dad on the campus at the University of Dayton, and I just wanted beer money.
And I would say, hey, I'd go up and see him.

I said, you got any money?
He'd give me the last $5 that he had.
That $5 was for his lunch.
He'd give me $5.
It'd go a long way back then as far as beer on campus.
You know, I'd get a case of beer for five bucks back then.

But, you know, those things, they make you stronger.
All of my brothers and sisters are great workers and never take anything for granted.
And I always tell my kids, you don't want them to have hardship, but you want them to understand what it is to overcome obstacles.
And, you know, they're lucky.
But I think that we were lucky, too, growing up to have that.
I mean, imagine I have a brother who's 5'10", and you're 6'3", and you get hand-me-downs from him.
