They are saying that Astra is OpenAI's first model that is classified as having critical cybersecurity capability, which basically means it could be used if they allow people to, which of course they haven't, to start to hack into things.
So that element of it is still quite restricted.
But as we've talked about before, it does give it this sort of
sense of powerfulness, doesn't it?
And I wonder if those sorts of things are uh are quite sort of thought about with PR in mind and quite intentional.
Yeah, and Jakob um Puczeki, who's the chief scientist, uh a stark warning, uh not a very uh not a very comforting one.
He said that basically when it comes to the future of AI, no one is prepared for the consequences.
Uh he wrote a blog post, nice and sort of cozy, make you feel better.
It was called An Alien Mind.
He basically argues that as a society we're starting to enter into this period uh where
Whereby we really don't understand how capable artificial intelligence is gonna be.
And more than ever, we need human oversight, intervention, hand on the handbrake type thing.
Of course, this just comes days after the story that we've just talked about when they've launched their most powerful model, GPT-6 Astra.
