Podcast Appearances
Hang on a minute.
You've been in this game for 10 years anyway.
I've only been doing it for a year.
Yeah, she was the CEO of Wondery.
Wondery, massive podcasting company, eventually got sold to Amazon.
So yeah, she's a big deal.
She's a big deal in audio.
Well, I think people have a strength of feeling about her, particularly people, I think, who work in audio, podcasting, music to some extent.
But she's a disruptor and she's looking to disrupt the current model as it stands in the way that podcasts are produced.
I think the clearest thing she said, and you'll hear it in a sec, is,
She's not running a media company.
She's running a technology business.
And I think the penny sort of drops and it's like she's not trying to disrupt the current podcast game by behaving like a podcast company.
She's doing something different.
And that is, I think, what rubs people because...
You know, there's a status quo.
There's a way of doing things.
There is progress that has been built up and built up and built up.
And she's pretty disruptive of that.
I see her as a complete pioneer in this space.
