Yeah, I think I think they're saying, look, we don't we don't necessarily see it as our role to self-regulate ourselves, because the minute that we do that, and not everyone's being self-regulated by those same guidelines or standards, then we lose competitive advantage.
You know, anthropic or grog or whoever else might not be the kind of uh the type of guys that we are and really conscientious about building things, and and you know, they're the ones that are
ultimately going to make all the money and get all the users.
So they're saying actually if it happens independently and we all have to adhere to the same guidance or the same regulation, the same laws even, that makes it a level playing field.
We're not going to off our own back kind of moderate our own innovation and things like that.
And I think whether you agree or disagree with it, it's an interesting point of view nonetheless and and very Silicon Valley.

Um, for the uninitiated Hugging Face, so it's a it's a big platform basically where loads of open AI models, uh applications, that sort of thing can get shared and people can find them.
Nvidia have bought it, as you say, $13 billion, which is a you know, in any stretch of the world, is a huge chunk of change.
They are saying though, clearly, Nvidia make chips, they're into the hardware, they're saying it's gonna be.
remain open on Hugging Face.
You don't necessarily have to have be accessing it using the NVIDIA chips and users who don't use any of the NVIDIA capability or computing can still access it.
I guess that was a fear that it suddenly was going to become a kind of monopoly and locked down.
Some numbers for you.
Hugging Face serves more than eighteen million developers, hosts over three million models, five hundred thousand data sets and one million applications.
So this is a big old
Bit of the internet and a huge community.
Basically, you've got the people that are building the chips investing in the place where all of the new apps and the open source models get distributed.
Sort of sounds okay.
