He kept texting me every night going, Jimmy, I think I got one hand on the Canada Screen Award.

And I said the only screed award he will ever win is for best fictional program, Overdrive.

Yeah.

Because of the lies that are told.

I told him he had a shot, but it kind of went down the hill when Canada lost in the semis because you don't win screen awards for bronze medal games.

We had a legit discussion of whether he was going to stay around for the bronze.

I know.

This was a direct quote in front of the crew.

I don't do bronze.

At some point he said, this is such a grind.

I said, you've done five games.

The crew's done 19.

Can I straighten out some of the lies that were told?

You were afraid and you said, I can't go like this, you're going first.

This is what I did.

I buried my head in my lap like they teach you on the planes.

I went into the crash position.

It probably wasn't the smartest move in retrospect, but that was what my instinct... I cowardly buried my head in my own lap.

Scary scene, though.
