And when we graduated... Shout out to his family.
Yeah, when we graduated from high school, he's like, hey, man, let's go to Europe and drive across Europe, and we'll buy a car in London, and we'll drive down to, you know, and we did this total cool adventure, and we had a great time, and it turned out to be way more expensive, and our car was breaking down half the time.
We ran out of gas, got flat tires, and he was always hungry.
Rene was just like, man, I'm fucking hungry all the time in Europe.
The portions are so small, and they're so expensive.
Like, he was just complaining about being hungry the whole time.
And we left.
Anyway, he ended up going home early.
And then I stayed on for a bit longer, like another year or two.
And when I came home, Rene was suddenly, he was one of my best friends from high school.
He was suddenly into, he was like, yeah, man, UFO crash and Roswell and UFOs this and that, the other thing.
And I was like, this guy's lost his mind.
Like, I remember distinctly thinking, this is so unfortunate.
I'm losing one of my best friends.
I'm gonna have to cut this guy loose, because I can't be associated with crazy.
So at the time, I was apprenticing at a video production company in San Francisco, and I casually mentioned it to my buddy, this guy Richard.
And Richard goes, oh, yeah, dude, you didn't know about Roswell?
I was like, I mean, I heard about it, but no, of course I didn't.
He goes, yeah, actually, the government admitted they recovered it, and then they recanted.
